Beloved, welcome to this post. It is not by accident that you are here. We give GOD all the Glory for giving us this great opportunity to be alive, fine, and well. If this is your first time here, you are most welcome. To GOD Alone be all the Glory

To all who are hurting and going through any form of trial, the Almighty GOD shall comfort you on all sides in JESUS Mighty Name Amen.

Thank GOD for the last post ‘GOD Loves You – Yes You.’ All Glory be to JESUS. Today’s topic is ‘Be Steadfast in The LORD In The Midst of Adversity.’
The Almighty GOD help us in JESUS Name Amen 🙏

Let us start by looking at the keywords.
Steadfast = firmly fixed in place – immovable
Midst = in the middle of or centre
Adversity = a difficult or unpleasant situation

Adversity is not what one looks forward to. Yet, it often comes unexpectedly. Let us look at one example of a man in the Bible who went through adversity. His name was Job. He lived in the land called Uz. Job was a wealthy, blameless, man of complete integrity. He feared and loved GOD. He loved to please GOD and stayed away from evil.

However, tragedy suddenly struck in his home and he lost everything. He lost his livelihood, his house, all his children, and worse still he was inflicted with terrible boils from head to foot. The itching was so much that he scraped his skin with a piece of broken pottery as he sat in ashes. Yet in spite of these, he maintained his integrity. His wife was devastated and asked him if he was still trying to maintain his integrity. She told him to curse GOD and die.

Job replied and said to her ‘you talk like a foolish woman. Should we accept only good things from the Hand of GOD and never anything bad? So in all that happened to Job, he said nothing wrong.’ ( Job chapters 1&2)

Job knew something that encouraged him and made him go through the adversity of life without losing his mind, or integrity. He remained resolute, unwavering in his faith. He knew that his Redeemer lives.

“For I know that my redeemer liveth, And that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth:” (Job 19:25)

Job’s knowledge of the LORD sustained him, encouraged him, and brought hope to him in adversity.

We also can know and look up to JESUS, the Author and Finisher of our Faith. (Hebrews 12:2)

Beloved, whatever you may be going through there is hope.

Job 14:7 says
“For there is hope of a tree, If it be cut down, that it will sprout again, And that the tender branch thereof will not cease.”
Beloved do not give up.

Psalm 94:9 says,
“He that planted the ear, shall he not hear? He that formed the eye, shall he not see?”

The LORD knows what one is going through. HE never forsakes His own. We may not know what is going on behind the scene but trust GOD, it shall end in praise.

Let us not pollute ourselves as king Saul did who went to the witch at En-dor when he himself was the one that banished witches and wizards. He disguised himself when he was faced with a battle with the Philistines and went down to seek solution from the power of darkness. What a calamity. May the Almighty GOD not depart from us.

“Then said Saul unto his servants, Seek me a woman that hath a familiar spirit, that I may go to her, and enquire of her. And his servants said to him, Behold, there is a woman that hath a familiar spirit at En-dor. And Saul disguised himself, and put on other raiment, and he went, and two men with him, and they came to the woman by night: and he said, I pray thee, divine unto me by the familiar spirit, and bring me him up, whom I shall name unto thee.” (1 Samuel 28:7-8 KJV)

The Almighty GOD is the Good Shepherd. HE does not forsake HIS own even in terrible circumstances. Please let us remain immovable in the LORD. Deuteronomy 32:9-10 tells us that we are GOD’s portion and HE keeps us as the apple of HIS eye.

“For the LORD’s portion is his people; Jacob is the lot of his inheritance. He found him in a desert land, And in the waste howling wilderness; He led him about, he instructed him, He kept him as the apple of his eye.” (Deuteronomy 32:9-10)

Beloved if we can endure without wavering -being steadfast in the LORD, watching and waiting in prayers (pray without ceasing) and fasting (as led by the Spirit), praise & worship with thanksgiving (always)- no doubt we shall have good news and testify of the goodness of GOD.
The Almighty GOD is giving us a new chapter of joy overflowing, of wholeness, of perfect and complete restoration in JESUS Name Amen.

In Job 42:10, the Almighty GOD turned the captivity of Job and restored him. All the affliction was gone, the boils gone; he was totally healed and restored. GOD gave Job twice so much of all the substance he had before and gave him back seven (7) sons and three (3) beautiful daughters. (At the beginning he had lost seven (7) sons and three (3) daughters.) So the latter end of Job was much more glorious than the beginning.

“Who is he that hideth counsel without knowledge? Therefore have I uttered that I understood not; Things too wonderful for me, which I knew not.

So the LORD blessed the latter end of Job more than his beginning: for he had fourteen thousand sheep, and six thousand camels, and a thousand yoke of oxen, and a thousand she asses.

And in all the land were no women found so fair as the daughters of Job: and their father gave them inheritance among their brethren.”
(Job 42:3, 12, 15)

Job saw four generations before he died: He was a father, grandfather, great grandfather and great great grandfather.
Wow, beloved what a glorious and fantabulous ending. Let us remain steadfast in JESUS no matter what we are going through. We shall break through and our tomorrow shall be far more glorious than now. Do remember, HE can do much more for us. HE remains the unchangeable Changer.

“Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.” (Hebrews 13:8)

“looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.” (Hebrews 12:2)

Thank you for coming this far. Beloved, do you have a relationship with our LORD JESUS Christ? HE is our LORD, Saviour, and Redeemer. HE is the Only Begotten Son of GOD.HE died for mankind, to reconcile us back to GOD. JESUS is the Way, the Truth, and the Life, no one can come to the FATHER except through HIM. (John 14:6). Please, beloved, now is the time of Salvation. Do not procrastinate. Tomorrow may be too late.
