Wow, beloved, welcome to this blog. Thank GOD for a glorious and fruitful day. Thank GOD for HIS Faithfulness and thank you for being on this page. GOD bless you.
Today, we want to discuss a topical issue tagged “Controlling Powers”.
Some years ago, when I was working in the Bank, a corporate client invited my Team and me to dinner at their luxurious hotel. They wanted us to see their facilities with the goal of getting more financial support. They ran a large hotel with a casino. We honoured the invitation and after dinner, we went to the casino. We watched as the hotel guests gambled and all that is associated with it.
However, there was this young lady that was all over the place — she looked helplessly hooked to the machine and did not seem to be in the company of anyone. She appeared to be free with everyone.
That caught my attention and that of my other Team members. So, we asked our client who she was (a bit nosey, isn’t it?). We were told she used to be a teller in a notable Bank in that axis and was a regular guest at the casino until she was addicted to gambling and hooked on drugs. The aftermath was that she lost her job. Consequently, the casino was home for her. Pathetic sight. She must have started well but somehow found herself in an uncontrollable situation. How long would the Hotel Management tolerate her? And would this promising young lady live her life in shambles?
Reminiscing now, I remember my experience much later after that encounter. I was deployed to one of the branches of the Bank on a special assignment. I needed the input of other colleagues in that Branch office to effectively carry out my assignment. Some of them were oblivious of deadlines and slowed down the processes. I found myself acting so strange to them. I would flare up, scream at them and at the end of the day I would feel really bad about not being able to comport myself. I’d promise myself no matter how I was provoked I would control my emotions. Next day same story. The behaviour to say the least was demeaning. It was not funny at all.
One day, I bought a random Christian Magazine and tucked at a corner of the magazine was a Prayer. I went through the Prayer in which, the writer dwelt on bringing the Presence of GOD to wherever the person was and also subjecting all things to the Holy Spirit and asking for guidance. I felt a sense of relief — oh this must be it.
Every morning in the office I prayed this Prayer bringing the Presence of GOD with me and subjecting everything to the Holy Spirit; I also asked for guidance. Beloved, before long, I was in control of myself, I maintained a calm dignity to the Glory of GOD, there was peace and I achieved more without any drama. Thank GOD for using that person who wrote the Prayer which I believe must have been a channel of blessing to many.
This brings to bear that the Spiritual controls the Physical. As I prayed, bringing the Presence of GOD, I was able by the Grace of GOD to subdue manipulative and controlling powers in operation.
Perhaps, there is someone reading this article or knows someone who seems not to have control over his or herself. Beloved, tell it to JESUS and do something about it bring HIS presence to everywhere you are and all that concerns you. In Genesis 1:1-3, we are told about the creation of the Heavens and the Earth. The Earth was formless and empty, and darkness covered the deep waters. And the Spirit of GOD, was hovering over the surface of the Earth. Then GOD said, “Let there be Light” and there was Light. The Light signified the Presence of GOD and all that was formless, empty and darkness disappeared. As a man of GOD said, one can as well say, “Let there be JESUS.” JESUS is the Light of the World and all that represents darkness and evil shall disappear.
When the Presence of GOD abides with one or is in one, there are some manifestations that are undeniable. His presence brings royalty, authority, peace, joy unspeakable, goodness, mercy, and favour to mention a few.
In Exodus 33:14-15, The Almighty GOD told Moses HE will personally go with him and give him rest — everything will be fine for Moses.
Moses said if the LORD will not personally go with them (the Israelites) then they should not leave where they were. Moses knew the importance of GOD’s Presence.
When there is light one does not stumble because everywhere is bright and one can see. However, in the dark one falls over many things which could cause injuries and even lead to death. Also, so many things can hide in the dark but with the light, there is no hiding place.
The Presence of GOD is paramount.
King David said in Psalm 16:11, YOU (The Almighty GOD) will show me the way of life, granting me the joy of YOUR PRESENCE and the pleasures of living with YOU forever.
Beloved, there is joy in the Presence of GOD and the pleasures of life thereof. The lines fall in pleasant places where the Presence of GOD is. Psalm 91:1 makes us to know the benefit of dwelling in the Presence of GOD.
Beloved, let us consciously invite the Presence of GOD and no power of darkness can stand the Presence of GOD and let us be carriers of the Presence of GOD as the Holy Spirit dwells in us. The Almighty GOD bless us all and perfect all that concerns us. May HIS Presence overshadow us at all times in JESUS Name — Amen.
More than ever before beloved, we should never undermine the Presence of GOD, where we are assured of the pleasures of life.
Beloved, if you do not have a relationship with our LORD JESUS Christ, our Saviour, you cannot be a carrier of HIS Presence but when you confess your sins and give your life to HIM, making HIM the LORD of your life, then HE will indwell in you by HIS HOLY SPIRIT and you can be a carrier of HIS Presence; wherever, you go HIS Presence will personally go with you and you will not go if HE does not go with you. (It’s a deal).
GOD bless us all.

Yes! HIS presence is paramount!!!
Yes beloved thank you
God’s presence makes the difference in every situation. The Bible makes it clear that we can do nothing on our own,so it is important we allow the presence of God to rule our lives and situations.
Being a companion of Jesus makes one to stand out and brings about difference in our lives therefore makes ud unique.
Thanks beloved Sis so very true
Life will be miserable without the daily presence of God.
His presence equally gives clarity. No wonder Apostle Paul said… I know whom I have believed… You are never in doubt when God is with you.
Thanks beloved brother for the contribution
