Welcome to this post. It is not by accident that you are on this page. Happy new month. Beloved, the ninth month, the month of Fruitfulness and new birth.

Thank GOD we are alive and well to the Glory of GOD. Thank GOD for HIS Faithfulness and Mercies. All Glory and Honour be to GOD Almighty. Thank YOU, JESUS. Amen.

Today, the Bread of Life on our table is – ‘GOD Can Be Trusted’. Yes beloved, ‘GOD Can Be Trusted’.

How did this topic come about?

Recently, on a Saturday evening, I was sitting alone, overwhelmed with some issues of life – ‘storm of life’. I was in deep thought when suddenly this question jumped into my heart, out of the blues, ‘Can GOD be trusted?’ I responded immediately, yes ‘GOD can be trusted’. It is well. The Holy Spirit will help and encourage us in JESUS Name. Amen.

Storms, in the physical, can be defined as an extreme weather condition with very strong wind, heavy rain and often thunder and lightning. Storms, most times, are devastating and wreak havoc. Storms of life come unannounced and unexpectedly to shatter the quiet and serene atmosphere of an individual, a family or a nation. Storms come roaring, threatening and afflicting.

Storms of life have come to many people in the Bible, to name a few, King David, Queen Esther, Daniel, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, not forgetting Job and others.

Some of us may be going through the storm of life right now. The Almighty GOD shall uphold us in JESUS Name. Amen.

First things first, the Almighty GOD tells us Fear Not.

Let’s take a look at Isaiah 43:1-4:

‘But now, thus says the LORD, who created you, O Jacob, And He who formed you, O Israel: “Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by your name; You are Mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, Nor shall the flame scorch you. For I am the LORD your God, The Holy One of Israel, your Savior; I gave Egypt for your ransom, Ethiopia and Seba in your place. Since you were precious in My sight, You have been honored, And I have loved you; Therefore I will give men for you, And people for your life.”’
(Isaiah 43:1-4).

Looking at Isaiah 43:1-4, The Almighty GOD Said ‘Fear Not’ because HE has redeemed us. HE is our Owner. HE has the say in our lives. HE assures us of who we are and what HE will do. It is comforting to know that we are precious (of great value, not to be wasted or treated carelessly). We are HIS beloved and HE will honour us (put us in great esteem). The Almighty GOD assures us that HE will be with us and nothing shall by any means hurt us. Even when we are going through the storm of life, HE confirms HIS Love for us.

Beloved, GOD knows the extent the enemy can go. The enemy’s agenda is to steal, to kill and to destroy but GOD Has given us life in abundance (John 10:10). GOD told us ‘Fear not! because HE is the ONE that sets the boundaries. So, the enemy, in any form or guise of storm (be it sickness or affliction etc) can never go beyond the boundaries set by GOD. Where death has been earmarked by the enemy, we can be sure of GOD’s divine protection.

Going through storm requires tenacious faith in GOD, total trust in HIM and knowing who we are in HIM.

GOD is the Game Changer. HE knows the end from the beginning. The end is excellent if we trust HIM completely because HE Has created us for HIS Glory and to show forth HIS Praise.

However, there are some messes in between the beginning of the storm and the glorious ending. So, the enemy takes advantage of the in-between to wreak havoc and to bring in all sorts of negativity, to create fear in order to steal our joy. That is why we must take refuge in GOD and stay in faith. It is imperative to fight the good fight of faith. (1st Timothy 6:12)

Stay on GOD’s Word and HIS Promises. HE has magnified HIS Word above HIS Name. (Psalm 138:2). GOD is awesomely Faithful beyond human comprehension.

Also, we should remember that underneath us are HIS Everlasting Arms. Hallelujah! Just as a baby who is carried by the Dad or Mom and would rest in the loving arms of the parents, so underneath us, the Almighty GOD carries us and we can rest in HIS Loving Arms.

‘The eternal God is your refuge, And underneath are the everlasting arms; He will thrust out the enemy from before you, And will say, “Destroy!”’
Deuteronomy 33:27 NKJV

Interestingly, looking at a few examples of those who are the cause of storms for the children of GOD or who conspire or plot against the children of GOD, we see that such persons are usually destroyed by their own weapons.

Let’s take a look at David and all he went through in the hands of King Saul because he wanted David dead.

The tide turned against King Saul because it was King Saul and his children that died, leaving Mephibosheth, his grandson (Jonathan’s son), who unfortunately was lame because he fell when his nurse was running with him during the crisis. (2nd Samuel 4:4).

Haman wanted Mordecai dead. He erected gallows to hang Mordecai but it was Haman that was hung on the gallows in place of Mordecai (Esther 7:10) and thereafter his ten sons were hanged. (Esther 9:14).

Let’s consider Daniel whom the LORD rescued from the lions’ den.

‘And the king gave the command, and they brought those men who had accused Daniel, and they cast them into the den of lions—them, their children, and their wives; and the lions overpowered them and broke all their bones in pieces before they ever came to the bottom of the den.’
Daniel 6:24 NKJV

Daniel came out unhurt because GOD was with him but those who plotted against him had themselves and their families as food for the lions.

Let’s see what happened to Daniel’s three friends who were cast into the fiery furnace. They came out unhurt but those who kindled the furnace were killed.

‘Therefore, because the king’s command was urgent, and the furnace exceedingly hot, the flame of the fire killed those men who took up Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego.’
Daniel 3:22 NKJV

Beloved, that is why GOD is the Game Changer.

We can see that the LORD is always Faithful. GOD Knows what to do (John 6:6). Nothing, absolutely nothing, takes HIM by surprise. HE is watching and there is a set time, an appointed time.

GOD is our Help and our Shield.

‘You who fear the LORD, Trust in the LORD HE is their Help and their Shield.’
(Psalm 115:11)

HIS Eyes are always watching over us and HE hears us at all times.

‘The Eyes of the LORD are on us and HIS Ears are attentive to our Prayers; but the Face of the LORD is against those who do evil.’ (1st Peter 3:12).

Beloved, whatever we are going through there is an expiry date and time. Don’t look at the mess in the middle but look with the eyes of Faith. Looking unto JESUS, the Author and the Finisher of our Faith. (Hebrews 12:2). The Mercy of GOD will change our story to Glory in JESUS Name, Amen.

We need to believe the Report of GOD which gives us VICTORY. Hallelujah. Remember, the just shall live by Faith. (Romans 1:17).

So, congratulations to all of us who are going through storms because Psalm 126:1-3 is manifesting in our lives right now in JESUS Name. Amen.

‘When the LORD brought back the captivity of Zion, We were like those who dream. Then our mouth was filled with laughter, And our tongue with singing. Then they said among the nations, “The LORD has done great things for them.” The LORD has done great things for us, And we are glad.’
Psalms 126:1-3 NKJV.

Amen and Amen.

It is also pertinent to mention that after the storm comes promotion. Celebrations galore! This is the victory we have in Christ JESUS.

‘But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.’
I Corinthians 15:57 NKJV.

Thank YOU, JESUS.

So, let us be calm and rest assuredly, for our joyous celebration is here already.

The LORD Says:

“For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways,” says the LORD. “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways, And My thoughts than your thoughts.”
Isaiah 55:8-9 NKJV.

Beloved, all things are turning around for our good. We can say with confidence that GOD Can Be Trusted. All Glory be to HIS Holy Name. Amen.

Thank YOU, JESUS. All Glory be to GOD.
